As an Allied tactical commander in the Pacific Theater, you are in charge of fending off the fierce Imperial Japanese military whilst adapting to an ever changing environment. Build trenches, call in artillery, upgrade your squad, and lead them to victory.

Skirmish Line is a Mud-and-Blood-like game, taking core fundamentals such as as a bird's eye view camera, semi-autonomous units, and heavy randomization. Skirmish Line aims to deliver an updated playing experience, featuring new mechanics and content. Both fans of Mud and Blood and new players alike will find the game challenging as they face off against the fanatical Imperial Japanese army, featuring a host of exotic weapons, vehicles, and of course, the infamous Banzai charges.

Skirmish Line is a brutal and difficult endless defense game featuring three modes:

Defense in Depth
Defend three positions in succession against the relentless Imperial Japanese Army. If the enemy overruns, you will retreat to the next position. Should you find the enemy assaults too overwhelming, you may manually fallback to the next position. Do you retreat in order to preserve the lives of your men, or do you put up a determined defense in order to hold valuable ground?

Point Defense
For a more traditional experience, Point Defense is stylized after Mud and Blood 2. Advance forward to find favorable terrain or to gain valuable command points to spend on new soldiers, weapons, and defenses. But be careful, there is no retreat, no fallback positions in this mode!

Campaign Mode
Build and manage your own squad in a persistent campaign, spanning multiple missions. You will be pressured by the overzealous theater commander to succeed on your missions at all costs, pitting the lives of your men versus the mission's objective. As you progress, you will be sent on more dangerous missions. Use your renown as a field commander to purchase powerful upgrades in order to keep your squad alive and to complete the mission.

Ribbons, Medals, and Rank
Complete extraordinary feats to earn ribbons and medals. Each ribbon or medal offers benefits to your squad. Gain access to special weapons, soldiers, and new tactics as you rank up.

Official Wiki
We understand that Skirmish Line can be a very difficult game. We have an official wiki for players to share their knowledge.

United Front Expansion

A new endless defense mode, the United Front game mode features the forgotten Allied forces in the Chinese-Burma-India theater. Command the Chinese forces with its motley set of equipment. Select from four distinct equipment sets to build and arm your squad, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Build your squad from a combination of American, British, German, and Soviet equipment. Do you choose to commit to one set of foreign equipment to capitalize on its strengths, or do you diversify to build powerful synergies?

New Enemies

A new set of enemies will bring new challenges, forcing players to adapt their strategies accordingly. Elite Kwantung Veterans will use advanced tactics to defeat your forces while the deadly Gas Troops employ chemical weapons to dislodge well entrenched positions. Kenpei Officers will call for ferocious infantry assaults in an attempt to completely overrun your lines. Mechanized infantry riding Type 1 Ho-Ha Half-tracks will drive straight up to your trench lines!

New Medals

Earn 10 new Chinese medals with their own bonuses from a new set of challenging tasks exclusive to the new United Front game mode. Effects from the Chinese medals will apply to the existing Defense in Depth and Sector Defense modes when applicable!

Plus Modes

Plus variants of the original Defense in Depth and Sector Defense modes will incorporate new enemies from United Front. Enjoy a redux version of the original endless defense modes with new enemies for a new challenge!

Mad Jack DLC

A new, fully voice acted, hero unit, Mad Jack, will be made available for deployment in the Defense in Depth and Sector Defense modes. Mad Jack will actively and randomly taunt the enemy, escalating the fight, but may also provide additional Command Points, improving the player's tactical options.

Emu War 2

Emu War 2 variants of the Defense in Depth and Sector Defense modes will be made available. In these modified variants, the Emu Nation has sent its best to fight alongside the Imperial Japanese. Face off against deadly Emu soldiers, capable of killing a man with a single kick. All ribbons and medals benefits and eligibility are maintained on these modes.

Top Brass DLC

A new, fully voice acted, hero unit, The General, will be made available for deployment in the Defense in Depth and Sector Defense modes. The General will stay inside of his bunker, training any soldiers inside of it. Protect him at all costs! If The General is killed, then your men will break in a massive rout!

The General's Bunker

Enclosed with thick concrete walls, The General's Bunker will provide maximum protection to anyone hiding inside. Soldiers inside the bunker cannot shoot out, but they are also protected from incoming enemy bullets and explosions. This is where The General and his bodyguard will reside.
